Notes: New Order's third single, issued by Factory Benelux.
Here, the A-side was the B-side to Procession (Fac 53).
It was their first recording to feature a sequencer, later becoming a defining part of their sound. Last work to be produced by Martin Hannett.
Due to a mix-up on the sleeve, the two B-side tracks had their titles transposed: Cries And Whispers is mis-titled Mesh and Mesh is mis-titled Cries And Whispers. This was carried over to the Substance 1987 compilation, which was never corrected in the years that it was in print.

There are several versions of this release existing:
The original 1981 edition has grey/white/blue labels and cat# FBNL8.
The 1986 reissues have grey/white/red labels and cat# FBN 8.
The 1987 reissue has light orange labels and red lettering and cat# FBN 8. Rating: 4.7
