Notes: Recorded and shot over three nights at the Hilltop Lycabettus Theatre in Athens, Greece, in October 1987, these are the final performances of Peter Gabriel’s 'This Way Up' tour, that kicked off nearly 12 long months previously, promoting the album So.
The show captured in Athens would emerge three years later as the film PoV, where they would be intercut with 8mm footage shot by Gabriel himself of life on the road, in the recording studio, and at home.
"Live in Athens 1987" is a new version of these performance, with restored and reedited footage, full show including the opening act is presented here, and intercut movies added in PoV were removed. Rating: 3.8
