Notes: Art Peppers 10th album as a leader, recorded on a January 19, 1957 session with the at the time Miles Davis rhythm section, pianist Red Garland, bassist Paul Chambers and drummer "Philly" Joe Jones.
Although today reviewed as a Pepper classic, according to legend Art Pepper was only informed about the session the same morning and only met with the rhythm section when arriving unprepared at the studio - with a saxophone in bad shape. Rating: 3.9
