Notes: Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes' debut album, first Date of released September 1972, was originally titled "I Miss You", but after the success of the single "If You Don't Know Me by Now" the album was renamed, given a new cover and re-issued as "Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes".
The album peaked at #4 on the Billboard Soul Albums chart and was one of the initial successes for the Philadelphia International Records label established the year before by producer and songwriting duo Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff.
The singles "I Miss You" and "If You Don't Know Me by Now" both charted, with the second reaching 3# on Billboard's Hot 100. Rating: 4.0
