Notes: The LP sleeve notes here are decidedly inadequate for a compilation that features mostly unique remixes and edits. Four songs here are live versions—three (Holiday, Alcohol, Skin and Bone) are edited versions from the live half of "Everyone's In Showbiz," while "Here Comes Yet Another Day" was previously unDate of released and may still be unique to this release. "Everybody's A Star" is remixed and edited down to a much shorter length. "Sitting In My Hotel" is remixed with the organ mixed much lower. "Muswell Hillbilly" is remixed to a shorter, punchier edit with Ray Davies' vocal brought forward in the mix. This version at least has reappeared on the 2013 Japan "Muswell Hillbilles" 2CD Deluxe Edition as "1976 Remix" but much of the rest remains unique to this album. The decades-later 2001 CD issue on Velvel is not this collection at all, but a completely different and more thorough selection of the RCA catalog, but none of the unique mixes/edits here were used. Surprisingly, this original RCA version has been available on iTunes since 2014. Rating: 3.8
